The Accelerated Reader Program, which utilizes the best available children's literature, is designed to increase participating students' reading ability and their level of comprehension of what has been read. The software also manages students' records and follows students performance. The Accelerated Reader is a computerized reading program designed to motivate, manage, and test students third through fifth grade. We will continually assess the program and make changes as needed.

It's As Easy As 1-2-3

1. Select a book - students select an AR book from the thousands of outstanding titles on the AR book lists, at their reading level.

2. Read the book -students read the book at their own pace.

3. Take the test - Students take a short, multiple choice test on school computers.

4. Teacher gets report - Both the student and teacher receive reports on the student's reading progress.
