BULLDOG BEHAVIORS

At Grant School we have established clear rules for the behaviors we expect. We call these our Bulldog Behaviors. All of the rules fall under our big three ideas: Responsibility, Respect and Safety.

We are teaching students how to be responsible, respectful and safe in seven common areas at school. Students are learning the voice levels required for each area. We are teaching students “Body Basics,” for paying attention during instruction and “Line Basics,” for waiting and walking in lines. We had a Kick-Off of our Bulldog Behavior expectations where all students and staff heard the rules and watched videos of the kinds of behaviors we are expecting.

All staff at Grant School will be using the same language to help all students understand and learn the Bulldog Behaviors. With common expectations and language around the school we are expecting better learning. Students are rewarded with Tuesday Tickets which are chosen weekly. All tickets are being saved to fill a large jar in the office at which time the entire school will have a reward!
