TRANSCRIPT INFORMATION

Do you need a copy of your high school transcript? The following terminology will help you understand the process in which we send out transcripts.

Official Transcript - This is a transcript sent directly from the high school to a college or employer. Most colleges, technical colleges, and scholarship programs require an "official transcript".

Unofficial Transcript – This transcript is provided directly to the student or their parent/guardian.

*Transcript Release Form – Every transcript we send must be released by the student.  If a student is under 18 years old, then their parent/guardian must also sign for release. To release or send a transcript, you (and a parent/guardian if under 18) must sign a  "Transcript Release Form".  There is a $3.00 processing fee to release an official or unofficial transcript if you are not currently a student or did not graduate the previous school year.

You can download a form by clicking below or complete one at the Counseling Office during regular school hours, 7:30-3:30. Be sure to provide the correct address for where you would like the transcript sent. You can also mail or fax us a signed and dated letter requesting that a transcript be sent to a specific address or school. If you choose to fax the release, it will be necessary to mail in the $3.00 fee. We cannot send the transcript until the processing fee is paid. You cannot request a transcript over the phone.

Transcript Processing Fee – For current Wausau East students and students who graduated the previous school year, all transcript requests are free. If you are not a current student or did not graduate the previous school year, the processing fee for official or unofficial transcripts is $3.00 each.

*ATTENTION Current Students: Whether you complete college applications online or with a paper application, it is your responsibility to inform the Career Center/Counselor that a transcript needs to be sent.   Current seniors need to complete the SENIOR TRANSCRIPT RELEASE FORM, which is a different form.
